The much better alternative is Brainswarming and Painting iDEAS (or IdeaPaint). This newer approach to finding solutions via creative ideas focuses on achieving a goal (from one side) and on the possible obstacles (on the other side). The group participants were divided into:
- One group that refines the definition and the clear meaning of the goal itself.
- The other group focuses on overcoming the obstacles.
After a while: both groups can swap so that each group can change its perspective from obstacles to goals and vice verse...
