Art vs Craft

You can google the difference between the two : Art vs Craft. 

This difference can be however expressed in many fields. Some of those additional fields are beyond what just sumps into your mind ( when instantly comparing Art vs Craft).

Some sportsman elevated their sport ( craft)  to a total new level of absolute art. You know what I mean! Those ones took a rocket and tennis ball and played it and some used the same and created absolute art of movement and perfection. 

You too can achieve this level of ART by using the same components that you used while making craft. Same components used differently, consciously and intentionally can elevate the value and the rating of your work into the level of an assist. 

When waking up in the morning and " going to work" is changing TO When waking up in the morning and "going to continue to create ART". It is a huge difference of purpose and appreciation of ones opportunity to be alive. 

Everyone can be an artist, everyone can take his work ( craft) to the level of ART. If you just stop and think about it . If you just stop and answer the question of: what ain't I doing now and that if I do it, my craft will become real ART. Find the gift within you. That gift that you were given while being born. That specific gift is that something that you are good at. You may have many gifts ( not just one). The 95-5 Theory

The 95-5 theory AND principle is relevant in connection with the previous post "THE 10 business categories starting with PRODUCTS" read here . 

So, let's say that you got all your 10 business categories in place ( easy to say but difficult to do). The next question is "WHAT IS MISSING NOW"? 

Are your 10 business categories totally executed? 

Can they be improved? 

Does a customer leave your business and saying "WOW"? "I can't wait to come back again...

The answer is most probably NOT. 

The "WOW" effect îs normally related to the 10th business category named "the phenomenal experience". This effect happens when the customer is overwhelmed and positively surprised from superior quality of one or more of the "THE 10 business categories". But it is not the only time when the customer is "WOWED". 

The other occasion when customer are WOWED" is when you are prepared to surprise them and GO THE EXTRA MILE and do something that they didn't expect you to do ( you must figure this out ). To answer this you must ask: what does the customer expect? what is the norm in this business category? Once that you know the answer, figure out what is the EXTRA MILE that you are prepared todo in order to go beyond customers expectations. 

1. Doing so ( the above) is the first step into : The 95-5 Theory. 
2. The other step into : The 95-5 Theory is : rating your quality level of each of "THE 10 business categories starting with PRODUCTS" read here . Rate them from 0-10. Next step is write down what can be improved in each of your "10 business categories" and go ahead and commit to execute and improve your rating by upping your game. 
3. Last point ( for the time being ) is to do the last squeeze and ask" what is the last 5% that I need to improve on and that will rase my scoring to perfection, to greatness to the ultimate...and go ahead and do it.

This POST is all about Napoleon Hill - key Principle # 15- Teamwork -part 3 and TEAMWORK as a MODEL for business. 

Since Napoleon Hills book was published in 1937 ( 83 years ago), the concept of the "TEAMWORK as a MODEL for business" evolved a great deal and is currently used as the basic standard in any successful business.   .

TEAMWORK as a MODEL for business was studied and analysed and improved like so many other things. 

There are so many teams, such as:

1. The Team Of Team ( high rank executives the navigates the business for the LONG TERM) 
2. Business development team
3. Business innovation team
4. The creativity team
5. Staff Compensation team
6. The PR team
7. The risk management team 

Any creation and any challenge that any business faces justifies to build a team that will be dedicated to find the best solutions. A good team will be always much more effective compared to a single decision making individual. 

The central idea when thinking about teams is that at the moment that one forms a team, the team becomes more important than any individual and the team must function in an aligned way while all team members see reality through the same lens of : goals , purpose and meaning. The team must support all team decisions regardless to the position of any individual within the team simply because the outcome of an aligned team will always surpass any achievement made by an individual trying to accomplish goals by himself.

Self Discipline is demanded to avoid all the negative habits as well as to enforce all the positive habits that were discussed in the previous posts regarding the 5 (previous) keys to success! Without Self Discipline , none of the 5 (previous) keys to success will be in any use. Hence you are back to square 1 and will have to start all over. Self Discipline is like the glue that will keep you on the track of the steep mountain climb. Without is, you will slide back to the beginning and will need to start all over again. Hence, Self Discipline is a KEY PRINCIPLE that can not be ignored. 

Here is the list of the 8 more important things over which you will have to exercise self-discipline

1.  You will have to gain mastery over your tongue, by acquiring the habit of thinking first and then speaking. After you are sure that what you say will benefit you and not injure others. A loose tongue often is one’s greatest liability.
2. You will have to exercise self-discipline in mastering the common tendency to strike back at those at whom you have a cause, real or imaginary for a grievance. You must remember that everything you do to or for another, you do to or for yourself. Because your every thought and every act which benefits or injures another person, comes back to you in kind, greatly multiplied. So if you feel that you must slander another person, do not speak it but write it. Write it in the sands near the water’s edge, then move away from it until the tides have flown.
3. You will have to exercise self-discipline over all of your emotions, particularly your emotions of love, hate, fear and sex. These are the big four of your emotions and they can make you or break you according to the extent of discipline you exercise over them.
4.  Your mental attitude needs discipline and control at all times, lacking this discipline, it can and it often does drive away friends. Destroy opportunities to get ahead, brings on physical and mental illness, develop stomach ulcers and makes piece of mind impossible.
5. The power of the emotion of sex needs a special chapter as it is thee most powerful emotion of all emotions. Because failure to exercise self-discipline over this emotion, probably heads the list of all the causes of personal failure. The emotion of sex, is the most powerful of all emotions, and it is nature’s great creative instrument with which all species of living things are perpetuated. The proper means of self-discipline of the emotion of sex, is transmutation. The control and direction of this great emotional feeling toward the attainment of worthy purposes, such as the fulfilment of one’s major purpose in life. The great leaders, artists, orators, industrialists and professional people have learned the art of sex transmutation through the proper system of self-discipline. Because of the delicacy of the subject of sex emotion. 
6. Nutrition needs discipline, through the proper habits of dieting and fasting, because information on dieting and fasting should come from your own doctor, I will not go into details concerning them except to call your attention to the need for knowledge on this subject. Personally, I attribute my relative good physical health mainly to the habits of dieting and fasting which I have developed through the years and continue to study every single day.
7. You will need to exercise self-discipline in relation to religion and politics, because success is all about " live and let live". In other words, resppect every person for their religion and political views and do not critisize anyone in this regard.  
8. self-discipline about taking possession of your own mind and directing it to whatever it is that you may desire. You cannot take possession of your own mind, or direct it to definite ends, without a practical system. Your mind creates everything in your life and you must be "the gate " for stupid and toxic ideas" and or "stupid and toxic frinds that you choose ". Hence, the self-discipline to watch your thoughts, beliefs and people that are around you. 

unachievable goals are now achievable

Your abstract dreams of success must turn into clear and specific goals times on a timeline.  You must practice those skills of making promises and keeping to them. 

Slowly but surely, you will improve the game of making different promises and keeping them....no matter what...no excuses are accepted . 

During the Corona Virus lockdown I promised to add 100 meters (every day) starting from a 5km treadmill daily walk. Today I did the 5.9km (one shot) walk and tomorrow will tick off the 6km distance....actually I am looking for it. By the end of the Coronavirus lockdown I will pass the 7km mark. 10 years ago, I had to stop after walking 100meters relax and walk again. Setting goals to walk 5-6 or even 7km in one shot with no rest was an "unachievable goal", This myth was broken and the unachievable was achieved. 

Your mind plays games with you while you walk and tries to stop you or at least delay your plans / promises. You on the other hand must take control and keep on walking. It is a mind game of you ( the real you - the higher-Consciousness ) and your brain (your lower-Consciousness). You must practice winning this game again and again as it reflects on your self confidence when setting goals and knowing that you will achieve them, regardless to what...no excuses and even when the goals seem somehow unachievable. 

Achieving goals no matter what is a skill like every skill. ONLY WHEN YOU DO IT , you learn to confront your true you (the higher-Consciousness ). You realise that achieving any goal or not is actually a choice, a decision to go on no matter what or to drop off / quit and loose.

swimming against the current

Those are the pictures on SATURDAY evening at my local gym.

As you can see, it was pretty empty. 

On the other hand, the restaurants and bars were pretty full. 

It's difficult to " swim against the current" , to do the ""less comfortable" tasks. But, it is thee only way to transform your life from where you are to where and what you want to be.  

FOCUS ONLY ON WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE

DR BAUMANN DAS INSITUT 2019 annual business growth is 57% versus the same time in 2018 while the sales for November 2019 ( so far) ar 59% growth versus the November 2018. All of that in a generally declining economy where most similar business ( in the same business category ) either close down or suffer from decline in business. 

Obviously, it is insane to "sit back and pray" or have other unrealistic expectations for a positive change. It is UP TO YOU to take action and redesign your business reality or you don't have any chance to survive.
